Muncie, IN. - Alice M. Smithers, 76, of Muncie, Indiana left this world to enter the gates of heaven to start a new life at 8:10 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2016
Alice was born in Muncie, IN. on December 14, 1939 to the late John C. and Thelma Marie (Gaussman) Hartman.
She was a member of Forest Park Church Nazarene in Muncie, Indiana. Alice loved to get everyone together for the holidays. She enjoyed Cooking, Camping, and playing Bingo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, spouse, Elwood; sister, Nancy Partin; brother, Earl Hartman; grandson, Jeffery Smithers Jr.
Alice is survived by her spouse, Ernest Bowling; children, Charles Willis and his wife, Yon; Thelma “Sis” Harker and her husband, George; Jeff Smithers and his wife, Jill; Michael Smithers and his wife, Bonita; Elvin Smithers and his wife, Paula; Carolyn “Jeanie” Garner and her husband, Roy Jr; grandchildren, Terrie, Bill, George Jr., Angie, Steven, Charles, Jennifer, Jason, Jeremy, Kimberly, Brittney, Christopher, Ryan P., Chad, Ryan, Ashley, Brittney; twenty six great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, siblings, Carolyn Wolfe; Bob (Velma) Hartman; Sandra Gabbard; Billy (Roma) Hartman; Brenda Stanley; Karen Lawson; Kenny (Vickie) Hartman.
Visitation will be Monday, May 16, 2016 from 4 P.M. until 8 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary, and from 9 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at the Forest Park Church of the Nazarene in Muncie, Indiana.
Services will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11 A.M. at the Forest Park Church of the Nazarene with Pastor David Delk officiating. Burial will be at Beech Grove Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
