Anita (Hicks) Workman

                Muncie-Anita (Hicks) Workman, 52, passed away Monday evening, July 24, 2017, following an extended illness at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.  She was born on February 8, 1965, in Muncie, the daughter of James Roy Hicks and Flonnie (Cooper) Hicks Baker.

                Anita attended Muncie City Schools and later married the love of her life Charles “Charlie” Workman on March 26, 1988 in Muncie and he survives.  Mrs. Workman had worked for various places through the Muncie Area most notably she had been a nurse’s aid and worked in housekeeping for a variety of health care facilities prior to her disability.  She had attended True Light Baptist Church when she was physically able to and enjoyed bowling on several bowling leagues doing crafts and quilting.  Mostly, spending time with her family was very precious to her.  Anita was known to be a pretty good cook as well, specializing in egg rolls.

                Besides her husband of 29 years, Charlie, she is survived by two sons, Michael Workman, Muncie and Troy Hicks (fiancé-Amanda Stanton), Albany; three grandchildren, Madisyn Workman, Muncie, Abel and Jackson Hicks, both of Albany; one sister, Cheryl Coates (husband-Shane), Muncie; one brother, Shelby Hicks; several nieces and nephews,

                She is preceded in death by her parents and step-father, Arthur Baker in 1991 .

                Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 31, 2017, 10:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Elder Lige Watson officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Monday, July 31, 2017, from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
