Ann L. (Linberger) Troyan

Feb. 17, 1924 – May12, 2016

Ann L. (Linberger) Troyan, 92, peacefully passed away May 12, 2016, surrounded by her family at home in Milford, MA. She was the widow of August J.”Gus” Troyan  who died in 2011.

Ann was raised in Youngstown, OH, the daughter of the late Leo and Isabel (Davis) Linberger.  She graduated from Rosary College (now Dominican University) and the Katie Gibbs School in Boston, and worked for several years before raising her family.  Ann and Gus lived in Des Plaines, IL, and Stamford, CT before settling in Muncie, IN in 1968.  A year ago, Ann moved to Milford, MA to be closer to family.

Ann leaves five children, Patricia Troyan (spouse Frederick Feldbauer) of Westport, NY, Mary Troyan Easter (spouse Michael Sammarco) of Upton, MA, Paul Troyan of Seattle, WA, Jeanie Troyan McAdams (spouse Douglas) of Denton, TX, and Thomas Troyan (spouse Kirby) and grandchildren John and Jay of Indianapolis, IN.  Her son Timothy and sister Mary Merz of Brooklyn, NY preceded her in death.

In addition to volunteering her time to the Muncie Library, Matinee Musicale,and other community organizations, Ann was especially dedicated to delivering Meals on Wheels for over 40 years. She was an active member of St. Mary’s Church and enjoyed making American Girl clothes for their holiday bazaar.  In 2006, Ann was selected in the “50 Over Fifty Challenge” which honored outstanding local citizens who were known to enrich other’s lives on a daily basis.

Ann had a lifelong passion for learning and classical music, the Indianapolis Colts and BSU football, and traveling with Gus on many Elderhostel programs.  Her wry sense of humor and an enormous capacity to give to others will be greatly missed.

Visitation will take place at Parson Mortuary in Muncie on Wednesday June 8 from 4pm-6pm where a Rosary will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. A Mass of Resurrection will be held at St. Lawrence Catholic Church on Thursday June 9 at 10:30am.  Burial will take place Friday June 10 in Calvary Cemetery, Youngstown, OH at 12pm.
