Barbara Lou (Smith) Singer

                Muncie-Barbara Lou Singer, 78,

                “Grandma” to all who knew, as she never knew her, a stranger, her left this painful world, October 20, 2016, on her next journey.  She was born on December 1, 1937, in Muncie, the daughter of Floyd D. and Mable (Beedle) Smith. 

                Barbara had attended Muncie City Schools and later married Francis “Frank” Singer in 1975 and he preceded her in death in 1989.  Mrs. Singer had worked as a Sorter for the Eaton Canning Factory and later as a Nurse’s Aide for the Shady Haven Nursing Home.  She enjoyed working with her hands doing projects like assembling furniture.  Barbara was known to be a jack of all trades and a master of none.  Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

                She leaves three children; Barbara Jean Reed (BJ) and Debra Kay Eiler (Debbie) and Robert Earl Eiler (Bobby), all of Muncie; six grandchildren, Melissa (Glenn)Danielson, Luann Lindsay (Mark Simmons), Thomas (Amy) Eiler, Joey Boles, Danny Reed and Mary (Timmy) Rogers, all of Muncie; seventeen great grandchildren; Morranda, Konnor, Kevin, Kelsey, Kaitlyn, Jacob, Davelynn, Karter, Alexiss, Tinsley, Nicole, Cheyenne, Brooklyn, Jerren (bub), Emmalou, Hailey, Tiffany; eight great, great grandchildren; twins- Grayson and David , Kaleeah, Olivia, Delavine, Datriona, Eli, Lilly; three brothers, Charles, Robert and Floyd; seven sisters, Mable, Clara, Annie, Opal, Patricia, Flora and Florence; a host of nieces and nephews.

                Besides her husband of 14 years, Frank, she is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Jack, Henry and Richard; one sister, Roberta; one great granddaughter, Nedalee.

                Grandma will be sadly missed as she is loved by many.

                Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 25, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Rev. John W. Foster officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery. 

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, October 25, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
