Muncie-Sunday, April 1, 2018 at 3:13 A.M., the world lost a great man, Benny Eugene “Old man” Brown, Sr. Benny was a staple of the community with his passion to help those in need and his love for motorcycles. You may not have known who he was but, you’ve seen him and his trike riding through the city. He was born on October 8, 1955, in Muncie, the son of Denzel E. and Ollie D. (Rousey) Brown.
Benny is a graduate of Muncie Southside High School and later became a self employed truck driver for twenty five years prior to his disability in 1999. He had been a member of the Teamsters Union; the Brothers of the Third Wheel and the Foursquare Gospel Church. He enjoyed riding his Tricycle Motorcycle everywhere.
He is survived by Three sons, “Aaron” Justin Brown (fiancé- Kricket Leedy)Fairport, New York, Benny Eugene Brown, Jr., Muncie and Daniel Brown (wife-Brittany), Orlando, Florida; three daughters, Amber Brown, Muncie, Autumn Lewis (husband-Steven), Muncie and Amy Ford (husband-Eric), Tampa, Florida; one brother, Jack Brown (wife-Leona), Anderson; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; two nephews; a special friend who was like a brother, Larry Welch, Muncie;
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 6, 2018, 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Barbara Fairchild officiating. Cremation has taken place. Military honors will be rendered by the Delaware County Honor Guard.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, April 6, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until service time.
