Bessie Cox

Muncie- Bessie. M. Cox passed away Thursday morning February 16, 2017 at her residence in Muncie. She was born November 9, 1931 in Muncie, the daughter of James Earl and Nina (Barnett) Houk.

                Bessie had attended Eaton Schools until she wed her first husband and became a homemaker. She remarried in October of 1960 to Karl Co whom she spent 28 years with until his passing. She worked at Container Corp. of America as a packer for 24 years before retiring in 1993.  

                Left to mourn the loss of Bessie are two sons Gregg (Diane) Cox and Dean Cox, a daughter Marjorie (Barry) Props, one brother, four sisters, step daughter Joan White, 5 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, several nieces and nephews, and special friend Ed Williams.

                She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Karl Cox, son David Crow, two brothers, and two sisters.

                Funeral services will be Monday February 20, 2017 at 1:00 P.M at Parson Mortuary with Reverend Goodpastor officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory.

                Friends may call at Parson Mortuary on Monday February 20, 2017 from 11:00 A.M until service time.
