Betty L. (Ross) Helton

                Muncie- Betty L. Helton, 88, passed away early Tuesday morning, September 20, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on July 31, 1928 in Pine knot, Kentucky the daughter of Emmanuel and Julia (Boyatt) Ross. 

                Betty married the love of her life, Rev. James H. Helton o November 1, 1947 in Sterns, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on November 1, 2011, in Florida  Mrs. Helton along with her husband founded the Full Gospel Temple Church which is located at 212 W. 7th St. Muncie, Indiana 47302.  She was a member of the Full Gospel Fellowship of Dallas, Texas, she loved quilting and reading.

                Survivors include four daughters, Julia Jones (husband-Ronald) and Jenny Locke (husband-Ron), both of Muncie, Mary Linda Fierce (husband-Robert), Lakeland, Florida and Rebekah Crago (husband-Tony), Tulsa, Oklahoma; four sons, Allen Helton, Lakeland, Florida, George James Helton (wife-Kathleen) and Mark Helton (wife-Tina), both of Muncie and Rev. David Helton (wife-Kerri), Fishers; seventeen grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.

                Besides her husband of 64 years James, she is preceded in death by two sons at birth Steven and John Paul Helton, five sisters, two brothers and parents.

                Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24, 2016, 11:00 A.M. at the Full Gospel Temple Church with Pastor Denny Helton Pastor David Helton will officiate.  Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.

                Friends may call at the Full Gospel Temple Church on Friday evening, September 23, 2016, from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, September 24, 2016, from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
