Betty J Smith

Muncie- Betty Smith, 92, passed away on Wednesday April 26, 2017 at I.U Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born on May 17, 1924 in Gallatin county Kentucky, the daughter of Noah and Mary (Bell) Combs.

                Betty attended Warsaw schools in Kentucky. She wed William Meadows in June of 1945 and they had four wonderful children together.  She spent most her time raising her family, reading and cooking. Betty worked for Ball Hospital for 13 years and Skyline restaurant for 4 years. She was a devoted member of the Full Gospel Church in Muncie for over 30 years.

Left to mourn the loss of Betty are her husband Everett Smith, daughter Joy Dutrow, son William Meadows Jr. ( wife Dee) 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren with another on the way.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Vicky Weams, son Rick Meadows, 6 brothers, 4 sisters, and her first husband William Meadows.

Funeral services will be Saturday April 29, 2017 at 1 P.M at Parson Mortuary with Pastor Denny Helton Officiating. Friends are welcome to call from 12:00 P.M until service time Saturday. Burial to follow in Beech Grove cemetery.
