Betty Edith Woodson, 68

            MUNCIE – Betty Edith Woodson, 68, Muncie, passed away Sunday morning, May 1, 2016.

            She was born April 22, 1948 in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Orlando and Dalia (Newport) Cochran, after the passing of her parents Betty was adopted and raised by Max and Helen McGuill.  Betty married the love of her life, Ralph Woodson, on September 17, 1970.  She was a housewife who spent her days raising their four children.

            Betty is survived by her husband of 45 years, Ralph F. Woodson; her son, Ralph D. Woodson, Parker City; three daughters, Betty Ruth Redmon, (husband-Charles), Muncie; Brenda Swearingen, (husband-Jeff), Muncie; and Linda Miles, Muncie; twelve grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Orlando and Dalia Cochran; her adopted parents, Max and Helen McGuill; two brothers, and one sister.

            Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2016 with Pastor Scott Turner officiating.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

            Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Friday until time of service.
