Indianapolis- Bruce Chandler, 61, passed away on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 at IU Methodist Hospital. He was born on June 27, 1956 the son of Claude and Betty Chandler.
Bruce graduated from Cowan High School in 1974. He farmed for Orebaugh Farms in his younger years. He was employed by Dana Corporation for 30 years as a truck driver. His zestful nature drew everyone in. He did not have acquaintances, only friends He loved his overindulged Chihuahua, Coco. . He had a passion for golfing and keeping the community safe with 20 years of volunteer work for the Monroe County Fire Department.
Left to celebrate the life of Bruce are his daughters Jessica Williams (Jim Keele), Simone Chandler, and Samantha Chandler, sister Penny (Doug) Keller, grandson Jared Williams, granddaughter Jilliann Williams, niece Amanda, and nephews Jonathan, Daniel, and Sean.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Ronald Chandler.
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 10, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. At Parson Mortuary with Pastor Jim Garrett officiating. Friends may call Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 1:00 P.M. Until 4:00 P.M. and one hour prior to services Monday.
