Carolyn Sue (Likens) Allen, 69

     MUNCIE - Carolyn Sue (Likens) Allen, 69, Muncie, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

     She was born February 5, 1947 in Hartsville, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Leslie Odell Likens and Ruby Estill (Stefford) Likens.  Carolyn was married to Clyde Dee Allen on January 18, 1963 and moved to Muncie shortly after their wedding.  Clyde preceded her in death in 2008.  She was a homemaker and a member of Avondale United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed volunteering at church working in the Children’s Closet.

     She is survived by two daughters, Angie Sorenson, (husband-Ken); Melissa Burns, (husband-Kevin); four sons, Steve Allen; Randy Allen, (wife-Melissa); David Allen, (wife-Shelle); and Brian Allen; twelve grandchildren, Nathan, Joshua, Courtney, Kiana, Emily, Ryan, Beckett, Addison, Jesse, Alex, Danielle, and Anthony; six great-grandchildren, McKinley, Kameron, Kadence, Karmyn, Jorge, and Marcela;  four sisters, Bonnie Tighe; Linda Grizzle-Moore; Shirley Brinkley; Jean Caudill; two brothers, Thomas Likens; and William Likens.

     She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Clyde Allen; her parents, Leslie and Ruby Likens; and two sisters, Francis King; and Irene Phipps.

     Services will be held at Grace Baptist Church, Muncie, at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 with Pastor Rory Bond officiating.

     Calling will be at Grace Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2016 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.

     Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Carolyn may be made to Avondale Children’s Closet in care of Avondale United Methodist Church.
