Carolyn Sue (Upchurch) Turney
Born in Muncie Indiana on February 27th 1944 to Casto and Margaret (Harris) Upchurch; died September 16th 2017 peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family.
She attended Muncie Central High school and married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence Turney, Sr. on October 4th 1963.
She worked at the Durham Factory and was a cook in the Sigma Chi Fraternity on the Ball State University campus and was a childcare provider to many children in her home.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 54 years, Lawrence, two sons; Reverend Larry Turney, Jr. (wife Missy) of Muncie, Kevin Turney of Yorktown, four grandchildren; Lauren (husband Zach) Gidcumb of Yorktown, Evan Turney of Mooresville, Aaron and Hayle Turney of Yorktown, one great-grandchild; Hunter Turney of Muncie, two sisters; Shirley Martin of Fountain City, Wanda (husband Sam) Willman of Richmond, two brothers; Charles (wife Marilyn) Upchurch of Yorktown, and Robert Upchurch of Plymouth, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father, brother Larry Upchurch, sister Louise Payne, and sister-in-law Judy Wilkinson.

Calling will be two hours before the service on Wednesday September 20, 2017 at Parson Mortuary with Reverend Larry Turney, Jr. presiding. Visitation will be held 10:00am -12:00pm with service at 12:00pm. Burial to follow at Beech Grove Cemetery.
