Muncie, IN. - Cashius Daniel Hitchens, 78, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Signature Health Care.
Cashius was born in Logansport, IN. on August 11, 1937 to the late Cashie and Mary (Miles) Hitchens.
He graduated from Muncie Central High School in 1957. Cashius was a retired crane operator and worked for Factory Indiana Steel and Wire for 36 years. He loved being on the golf course playing golf and loved to be out riding his motorcycle.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother, Mark Hitchens.
Cashius is survived by his wife of 26 years, Jeanie Hitchens of Muncie, IN; children, Heather Smith of Springfield, OH; Andrea Ober and her husband, Joe of Columbus, OH; Jodi Dishmon and her companion, Dan Nichols of Muncie, IN; John Hale of Muncie, IN; brother, Robert Hitchens and his wife, Eloise of Muncie, IN; sister’s-in-law, Lois Hitchens of Muncie, IN; Gloria Bainter of Muncie, IN; brother-in-law, Jerry Burden and his wife, Nancy of Muncie, IN; fourteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary.
Services will be Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 1 P.M. at the mortuary with Pastor Rusty Clements officiating. Burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, IN.
