Chesterfield, IN. - Charles E. Carter, 83 of Chesterfield, Indiana passed away on November 24, 2016 at his home.
Charles was born in Muncie, Indiana on February 25, 1934 to the late Golden and Lillie Bell (Devers) Carter.
Charles married his wife, Barbara in 1959. Charles was retired from Delco after many years of service. He was a huge sports fan and loved watching the Chicago Cubs, Chicago Bears, and Indianapolis Colts.
He is preceded in death by his parents, siblings, George, Cecil, Gene, Jack, Robert, Ruby, Margaret, Joann, and Sue.
Charles is survived by his wife of 57 years, Barbara Carter of Chesterfield, IN; children, Richard Carter of Chesterfield, IN; Cathy Noble and her husband, Paul of Anderson, IN; grandchildren, Kyle Noble and his wife, Kristen; Kaycee Carter and her fiancé, Rick; Justice Carter; great-grandchildren, Kyndal Noble, Kerrington Noble. brothers and sister-in-laws, Roger Pennycuff and his wife, Faye of Muncie, IN; Janet Matthews and her husband, Arthur of Richmond, IN; Danny Pennycuff and his wife, Linda of Yorktown, IN; Nancy Dennin and her husband, Curt of Muncie, IN; special nieces, Sandy Walker, Bonnie Wake; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016 from 4 P.M. until 6 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with cremation to follow.
Burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery at a later date.
