Charles C. Good, 78

            MUNCIE - Charles C. Good, 78, Muncie, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

            He was born June 6, 1937 in Rockdale, Texas the son of the late Robert Lloyd and Gladys (Crooks) Good.  Charles was a 1957 graduate of Jackson Central High School in Hamilton County, Indiana.  In 1959 he married Linda (Summers) Good who survives; they spent 56 years wonderful years together.  He was very proud of being a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Charles was employed by General Motors for 35 years before his retirement in 1997.

            Charles had a love for children and acted as a father figure to many, he had a knack for being able to love, connect and provide guidance to these children.  He played an instrumental role in starting the Muncie Metro Football League.  Charles even took out a second mortgage on his home to help buy all of the equipment that was needed.  Anything for the children is how Charles lived his life! 

            Survivors include his wife, Linda K. Good; one son, John R. Good; three daughters, Linda M. Good; Maurine “Shelli” Sayger; and Kailey Anne Good-Hallahan, (husband Tim); one grandson, Ryan Allen; three granddaughters, Amanda Stacy, (husband-Shay); Lydia Good; and Aubrey Good; eight great-grandchildren, Bailey, Charlie Allen, Zachary Charles, Brooklyn, Gabriel, Shay Jr., Maybrey, and Victoria.

            He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Robert Good; and a sister Lillian Moran.

            Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with Pastors Danny Porter, Doug Gregg, and James Day officiating.

            Calling will be at the mortuary on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

            Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery with full military honors.

            In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Muncie Metro Football League.
