David Reid Scott, 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 16, 2018, at his home. David was born on February 17, 1943, to Bonnie (Logan) and the late Clarence Scott in Burkesville, Kentucky.
Mr. Scott attended school in Selma graduating in 1961, later working at the Wonder Bread plant as well as farming for family and others in the area. He enjoyed watching basketball and trying to bring ailing engines back to life as a mechanic.
Survivors include: Mother; Bonnie Scott; Son; David Scott (wife, Linda) Texas; Daughter; Chasity Scott, Muncie; Step-Daughter; Hope Pierce, Muncie; Two Sisters; Regina Gibson (husband, Robert) and Patricia “Patty” Rouse (husband, Melvin); Grandchildren; Kimberly, Kristopher, Jadon, Nathan, Nicole, Taylor, Leah, Nevaeh, and Hailey; One Great-Grandchild; Levi. There are also many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by: Father; Clarence Scott and Brother-In-Law; Robert “Bob” Gibson.
There will be a graveside service at Gardens of Memory Cemetery, 10703 N Old State Road 3, Muncie, IN on Monday January 22, 2018 at 1:00 P.M with Parson Mortuary handling the arrangements.
