Delmis "Jo" Josephine (Mays) Chambers

     MUNCIE - Delmis “Jo” Chambers, 81, Muncie, passed away Friday, April 21, 2017.

     She was born November 24, 1935 in Morehead, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Inez (Johnson) Mays.  Jo was a graduate of Logan High School in West Virginia.

     Jo was employed as a seamstress at Midwest Towel (Cintas) for 15 years prior to her retirement.  She was a dedicated member of True Light Baptist Church, Muncie.

     Survivors include two sons, Don Chambers Jr, (wife-Traci), Eaton, IN; Robert Chambers, Muncie; sister, Janice Mays, Muncie; brother, Bob Mays, (wife-Becky), Geneseo, IL; two granddaughters, Kaylee Chambers, (fiancé-Andrew Smith); Allison Chambers, (fiancé-Mitchell Lee); nephew, Jason Mays, (wife-Kimberly); two step-grandsons, Kevin and Cory Maddy; two great-grandchildren, Zoie Smith and Bennett Lee; great-nephew, Holden Mays; and great-niece, Hannah Mays.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Inez Mays.

     Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating.

     Calling will be at the mortuary from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2017 and one hour prior to services on Wednesday,

     Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie.
