Dixie L. (Grubb) Huff

                Muncie-Dixie L. Huff, 78, passed away early Tuesday morning, January 2, 2018, following an extended illness.  She was born on December 30, 1939, in Muncie, the daughter of Walter Lee and Sylvia Alice (Brown) Gibbs, Sr.

                Dixie married the love of her life, Willie Amos Huff in 1962 and he preceded her in death in 2004.  Mrs. Huff had owned and operated several small businesses throughout Muncie and has been a homemaker for the last several years.  She enjoyed cooking and entertaining people.  She specialized in good southern cooking and baking.  Dixie was known to be very generous to her family and friends and loved to watch football especially when the Colts were playing.  Her family said “she was a wonderful mother, grandmother and mother-in-law!”

                Survivors include two daughters, Sonita Ball (husband-Patrick), Nashville, Indiana and Sharon Woodward (husband-Perry), Scottsville, Kentucky; one son, Gary Huff (wife-Margaret), Indianapolis; two grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one brother, Dickie Lee Gibbs (wife-Ginger), Muncie; Special cousins, Linda Brotherton (husband-Mike), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

                Besides her husband of 42 years, Willie, she is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Walter Lee Gibbs, Jr.

                Cremation has taken place with a private family memorial service at a later date.  Parson Mortuary is in charge of the arrangements.
