Earl "Phil" Cox

Muncie- Earl “Phil” Cox Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly at his home in Muncie on March 26, 2017. He was born on September 18, 1959 in Muncie, Indiana the son of Earl and Juanita (South) Cox.

                Earl attended Southside High School and after that, he became a jack of all trades construction worker. He would do framing, plumbing, electrical work and everything in-between, he was employed by MC construction where he built homes, before becoming self-employed. He was always working on making new things to solve problems. He was a member of Muncie Christian Center.

                Left to mourn the loss of Earl are his wife Lesa Cox, daughters Daisha (Rick) Ashcraft and Jennifer Roberts, brothers Ronald (Carrie) Cox and Michael Cox, sister Darlena (Tony) Smith and Rebecca Cox, six grandchildren; Kierra (Michael Rainey) Woody, Clayton Grubbs, Amelia Ashcraft, Katrena Roberts, Haley Roberts and Hannah Roberts as well as many nieces and nephews and his special aunt and uncle Tim and Rita West.

Earl was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.

Funeral services will be Friday March 31, 2017 at 1:00 P.M at Parson Mortuary with Richard Crabtree officiating. Friends may call on Friday from 10:30 A.M until service time. Burial will follow at Elm Ridge cemetery.  After the graveside, there will be a celebration of life at 3:30 P.M at Mansfield Park Lodge in Muncie, Indiana.
