Muncie- Frank P. Stewart, 78, passed away early Wednesday morning, October 19, 2016, at the Liberty Village Health Care Center following an extended illness. He was born on March 19, 1938 in Glasgow, Kentucky the son of Willard Horace and Ruby (Price) Stewart.
Frank is a 1956 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later married the love of his life, Evelyn Cora (Jones) Stewart in 1957 in Muncie and she preceded him in death in December 2010. Mr. Stewart had worked for the Indiana Steel and Wire Corporation as a Machine Operator where he copper coded wire for approximately 28 years retiring in 1985. He enjoyed playing bingo is a past member of the Prairie Beagle Club, the Farmland Conservation Club, Steel workers Union local 1314 and the Halteman Village Baptist Church. Frank also liked hunting with his dogs.
Survivors include two sons, Randy Mark Stewart (wife-Sheri), Selma and Mickey Stewart, Muncie; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; one brother, Johnny Stewart (wife-Debbie), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.
Besides his wife of 56 years, Evelyn, he is preceded in death by two sons, Rocky and Marty Stewart; his parents and one brother, Jimmy Stewart.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 21, 2016, 10:00 A.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Ron Ross officiating. Burial will follow at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, October 21, 2016 from 9:00 A.M. until service time.
