Franklin Delano Wilson

   Muncie-Franklin Delano Wilson, 79, passed away early Thursday morning, May 19, 2016, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  He was born on March 14, 1937 in Muncie, the son of Lee A. and Edith (Smith) Wilson.

     Mr.. Wilson had attended Muncie City Schools prior to his disability.  He enjoyed working on old bicycles, restoring them to the almost original luster when they were new.  He had faithfully attended church in Parker City.

    Survivors include two sisters, Reba Wood, Tampa, Florida and Shirley Wilson, Kentucky; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Ruth Sindel, Muncie.

     He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Gerald, Edgar and Marvin.

     Graveside services will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016, 1:00 p.m. at Beech Grove Cemetery with Celebrant Craig Malone officiating.  Friends may call at the graveside from 12:30 p.m. until service time.  Parson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

     Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
