                Muncie George Alan Monroe, 58, passed away Sunday afternoon, November 5, 2017, following a brief illness at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital.  He was born on, January 6, 1959, in Muncie, the son of Earl and Beverly May (Smullen) Monroe.

                 George is a 1978 graduate of Delta High School and later became the yard Foreman for Complete Masonry for 7 years prior to his disability in 2005.  Mr. Monroe was a member of The International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft workers and enjoyed watching television.  Mostly, he enjoyed being with his little pet friend Yorkie, “Rudy”.

                Survivors include his mother, Beverly Monroe, Muncie; one sister, Linda Joyce Hale (husband-Bill), Yorktown; one brother, David Monroe, Muncie; five nieces and nephews; four great nieces and nephews.

                He is preceded in death by his father, Earl and one sister, Janet Anderson.

                At the request of George, there will be no services.  Cremation is taking place with a private family burial of cremated remains at Beech Grove Cemetery.

                Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donors choice.
