GLADYS  MARIE  COLE

   Muncie, IN. - Gladys Marie Cole , 90, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

   Gladys was born in Jennings County, Indiana on April 25, 1926 to the late Walter C. and Faye (Pearcy) Sproessig.

   She graduated from Greenfield High School. On November 4, 1942 she married Claude Eugene “Gene” Cole and were married for 53 years. She loved her family very much and enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She spent some of her early years working at Guide Lamp and Delco Battery, but is her later years she spent traveling with her husband who was in the Navy and retired after 43 years of service. She was loved by many and will be missed by many.

   She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Janet Faye; siblings, Beulah Crouse, Betty Knight, Florence Dyer Pease; brother’s-in-law, Russell Crouse, George Dyer, Daniel Mock, Howard Knight; son-in-law, Jerry Cool; many nieces and nephews.

   Gladys is survived by her children, Rita Cool of Muncie, IN; Roger Cole and his wife, Lois of Muncie, IN; grandchildren, Troy Cool and his wife, Lisa of DeLand, FL; Eric and his wife, Trina of Muncie, IN; Andrea Cooper and her husband, Mitch of Muncie, IN; great-grandchildren, Kimberly, Brandon, Jacob, Chase, Ryder, Tyler, Trevor, Austin, Calabe, Caden, Mackenzie, Matthew, Tanis, Jeremiah, Timothy; sister, Donna Mock; brother Larry Sproessig; several nieces and nephews.

   Visitation will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary.

   Services will be Wednesday, June 29, 2016 at 1 P.M. at the mortuary with Pastor Danny Lewis officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.

   Memorial contributions may be made to New Life United Baptist Church in Selma, IN. and to the American Cancer Society.
