Muncie – Herman E. Anderson, 89, Muncie, passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2016.
He was born February 26, 1927 in Yamacraw, Kentucky, the son of the late Monroe and Ethel (Craft) Anderson. Herman proudly served his country as a Corporal in the United States Army during the Korean War. After his time in the military Herman found employment with Ball Corporation where he worked as a press operator for 37 years. He was a member of the Memorial Baptist Church. In his spare time Herman loved to be outdoors fishing.
Survivors include two sons, Norman E. Anderson; Carl Wayne Anderson, (wife-Malou); two step daughters, Sandra Bretz (husband-Ron); Phyllis C. Meranda, (husband-L. Allen Gregory); sister, Ella Mae McIntosh, (husband-Price); grandson, Larry Anderson; and several nieces, step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Monroe and Ethel Anderson; his wife of 37 years, Dafna (Christine) Anderson; three brothers; one sister; and a step son.
Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2016 with Pastor Ron Black officiating.
Calling will be at the mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Monday until the time of service.
Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery.
