Yorktown-Hester Conatser passed away early Sunday morning, March 18, 2018 at her residence following an extended illness. She was born on, January 15, 1934, in Jamestown, Tennessee, the daughter of Carson and Beuna (Hinds) Millsap.
Hester eventually married the love of her life, Willard “Bill” E. Conatser in 1948 and he preceded her in death in 1981 . Mrs. Conatser had worked for the 3M Corporation as a line worker and later in the shipping department for 40 years retiring in 1997. She was a member of the Westside United Baptist Church, the White Shrine, and Order of the Eastern Star, the Avondale Sympathy Club, the Willing Workers Club and the Yorktown Lioness Club. She enjoyed Gardening, Canning and quilting. Her family all seem to know what it meant when she proclaimed “I’m The Boss!”
She is survived by two daughters, Linda Hughes (husband-Virgil), Muncie and Kay Stafford (husband- Eddie), Washington, Indiana; one son Gary Conatser (wife-Cristina), Yorktown; thirteen grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; four great , great grandchildren with five to be born this summer. She has 49 people that are part of her cherished legacy; several nieces and nephews as well.
Besides her husband of 33 years, Bill, she is preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Hurley Buck, J.C. Hinds and John Hinds.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Larry Waters officiating. Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial Park Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. And again on Wednesday, March 21, 2018, from 12:00 P.M. until service time. Funeral honors will be rendered by the White Shrine at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, March 20, 2018 at the Parson Mortuary.
