Muncie, IN. - Hollans Ray Hood, 85, of Muncie, Indiana passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Signature Care Nursing Home.
Hollans was born in Wilder, TN. on July 29, 1930 to the late Emmitt and Mary M. (West) Hood.
He was a factory worker and Machine Operator at Indiana Bridge for over 25 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 45 years, Catherine (Crisp) Hood; daughter, Kathy Phipps; five sisters, one brother.
Hollans is survived by his children, Eddie Hood of Muncie, IN; Sheila Decker and her husband, Ronald of Vandalia, OH; grandchildren, Tami Rhea, Michael Hood, Amanda Serrer, Melinda Borts, Chris A. Hood, David Phipps, Wesley Adam Brooks, Justin Decker, Taylor Decker; twenty two great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchild; special caregiver, Amethyst Phipps.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11 P.M. until 1 P.M. at Cornerstone Community Church in Muncie, Indiana. 3000 South Jefferson Street, Muncie, IN. 47305
Services will be Wednesday, February 10, 2016 at 1 P.M. at the church with Pastor Chris Hood officiating. Burial will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana.
