Ireta Jean (Rust) Nicklin, 93, passed away Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at the IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital. She was born August 14, 1922, in Morocco, Indiana, the daughter of William and Catherine Molter Rust.
She graduated from Winamac High School in 1940, and attended Ball State Teachers College.
Jean was employed at Ball Brothers and retired from Ball Corporation in 1967 after twenty-five years of employment.
She enjoyed many hobbies, especially pencil sketching and calligraphy.
She also worked with her husband, Charles, on their joint hobby of stamp collecting.
She was a member of the St. Mary Catholic church.
She is survived by her sister, Marjorie Denton; three very special nephews, Larry, Robert and Charles Denton; a grand-nephew, Alexander Denton; and other nieces and nephews.
Jean was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband of sixty-six years, Charles. She rests in peace.
Father Kevin Hurley will conduct services 10:00 a.m. Monday at Parson Mortuary. Entombment will follow in elm Ridge Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 10:00 a.m. Monday at the mortuary.
