Jennifer M. (Barth) Halstead

November 18, 1949 ~ October 10, 2015 (age 65) 65 Years Old

Muncie-Jennifer M. Halstead, 65, passed away Saturday afternoon October 10, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on November 18, 1949 in Muncie, the daughter of William Howard and Bernice (Casterline) Barth,

            Jennifer is a 1968 graduate of Wapahani High School and later married

James Brady on September 28, 1990 in Tampa, Florida and he survives.  Mrs. Halstead had worked for various places through out the area most notably, the Delta School System where she served as a School Bus Driver and also Anchor Hocking in Winchester in the packing dept. for 10 years.  She enjoyed crafts, sewing, gardening and liked being on or around water.  To say she was a professional shopper would be an understatement.

            Besides her husband of 25 years, Jim, she is survived by three daughters, Angela Johnson and Brooks Carson (husband-Gabriel), both of Muncie and Jamie Brady-Stump, Winchester; two sons, Jacob Halstead (wife-Lisa), Inlet Beach, Florida and James Brady (wife-Anna), Albuquerque, New Mexico; eight grandchildren, Skye, Kainan, Solomon, Aden, Isaac, Dustin, Shelby and Evan; three great grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Barth (wife-Debbie), Lagro, Joe Barth (wife-Pam), Berlin Center, Ohio and James Barth (Barb), Muncie; several nieces and nephews.

            She is preceded in death by, one son, Andrew Halstead in 1969; one Grandson, Vincent Wiley in 2006; one sister, Michelyn Barth Splorich in 1997; and her parents.

            Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2015, 6:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Jeremiah Bollich officiating.  Cremation is to follow.  Burial of cremated remains will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery north of Muncie at a later date.

            Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday evening from 5:00 P.M. until service time.

            Memorial contributions may be made to  charity of the donor’s choice.
