John C Williams

Muncie- John C. Williams, 91, passed away at his residence on Sunday June 4, 2017, following an extended illness. He was born on December 22, 1925 in Martin County, Indiana, the son of James and Stella Williams.

John attended school in Odon, IN and after school joined the Navy during WWII as a radio telegrapher. After the war, he came home and married the love of his life Wilma on June 17, 1950. Together they raised a family and John went to work for Delco Remy as a machinist for 25 years before retiring. After working for Delco Remy he started his own company, J and D Design, he operated J and D Design for almost a decade before retiring for a second time. In his free time, John was an avid gardener, who loved working outside with his hands.

Left to mourn the loss of John are his Wife Wilma, grandson Jason, great grandsons Michael J Williams and James Williams, great granddaughter Jennifer (fiancé Damian) Williams, and 3 great great granddaughters Aubrie, Ava and Sophia.

John was preceded in death by his parents, son James Williams and grandson Michael D. Williams.

Funeral Services will be held Monday June 12, 2017 at 1:00 P.M at Parson Mortuary with Chaplain Gary officiating. Friends may call from 11 A.M until service time on Monday. Burial to follow at Miller Cemetery.
