Judy (Gibson) Strong

            Anderson-Judy Strong, 72, passed Saturday morning, January 23, 2016, at the St. Vincent’s Anderson Regional Hospital following a brief illness.  She was born on April 27, 1943, in Cooperative, Kentucky, the daughter of James and Vernie L. (Henry) Gibson, Sr.

Judy is a 1961 graduate of Muncie Central High School and later married the love of her life, Ronnie Strong on January 18, 1963 in Muncie and he survives.  Mrs. Strong had been a homemaker and had enjoyed doing ceramics, playing bingo, euchre and watching the price is right.  Mostly, Judy treasured making memories with her family which included being the greatest fan at her grandchildren’s sporting events.  She will be greatly missed by her constant companion her pet dog Bonnie.

Besides her husband of 53 years, Ronnie, she is survived by two daughters, Cindy Dungan (husband-Steve), Yorktown and Carolyn Smith, Daleville ; four grandchildren, Nathan Dungan, Marlena Jaworski, Jacob Dungan and Stephen Smith; four great grandchildren; one sister, Joan Tomey (husband-Randy), Muncie; two brothers, James Gibson , Jr. and Roger Gibson (wife-Kay) both of Muncie.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with  Pastor Larry Waters officiating.  Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Wednesday, January 27, 2016, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
