Muncie- Lorraine Dorton, 56, passed peacefully on June 6, 2017 after an extended battle with cancer; she was born October 29, 1960 to Eldon and Lora Beckley in Muncie, Indiana where she lived for most of her life. Devoted wife and mother, she enjoyed spending time with her family, listening to music, supporting her favorite team, the Colts, riding the Harley with her husband, Mike, and artwork through her love of tattoos.
She will be missed by her husband of 24 years: Mike Dorton, her daughter: Lea Bowden (husband Larry) and granddaughter: Harper, stepson: Michael (wife Julia) and grandchildren: Isaiah and Anne (mother TaLisa Dorton), and Anya, three brothers: Keith Beckley, Steve Beckley (wife Wanda), and Paul Beckley, three nephews, and several close friends. She will also be missed by canine companions, Lex and Ronnie.
She was preceded in death by parents, as well as two very special canine companions, Lewis and Laci.
Celebration of Life will be held at 1515 S. Pittenger Rd., Selma, IN 47383 on June 25th at 6pm. Bring a covered dish and join us as we remember and celebrate Lorraine.
