M. Ilean Lapeer

                Muncie-Ilean (Allred) Lapeer, 84, passed away Wednesday evening, October 5, 2016, at her residence following an extended illness.  She was born on August 2, 1932 in Poplar Grove, Tennessee, the daughter of Robert Ray and Donna Mae (Clayborn) Allred.

                Ilean attended Poplar Grove Schools and later married the love of her life, Leonard J. Lapeer on June 26, 1953 in Jamestown, Tennessee and he preceded her in death in 1999.  Mrs. Lapeer had been a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening and cooking, specializing in breakfast foods.  Mostly Ilean enjoyed taking care of her great grandchildren.

                Survivor’s include three daughter, Millie Cook (husband-Bill), Muncie Deborah Grubb, (husband-Ronald), Fishers and Rebecca Bailey (husband-Roger) of Muncie; two sons, David Lapeer (wife-Barbara), Sun City Center, Florida and Timothy Lapeer (wife-Megan), Muncie; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

                Besides her husband of 46 years, Leonard, she is preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Grace; six brothers, Willie, Fred, Harley, Charles, Hewey and O.J.

                Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016, 3:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor James O. McCowan officiating.  Burial will follow at the Jones Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday evening, October 7, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and again on Saturday, October 8, 2016, from 2:00 P.M. until service time.
