Mary Alice Bilby, 92

            MUNCIE – Mary Alice Bilby, 92, Muncie, passed away Saturday, November 21, 2015 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital.

            She was born May 26, 1923 in Bloomington, Indiana, the daughter of the late Harrold and Imogene (Wingate) Prow.  Mary was a 1941 graduate of Desoto High School.  She was employed at W.T. Grant as a Department Head for 9 years, later she was employed by Cowan School Corporation for 14 years before her retirement in 1994.

            Mary attended Oakville First Brethren Church where she was a Sunday school teacher.  She was a member of the People of Praise Worship Group, High Street Methodist Thursday Luncheon, and attended the Bible Study Fellowship International.

            Survivors include four sons, Bruce Bilby, (wife Susan), New Castle, IN; Terry Bilby, (wife-Beth), Albany, IN; Neil Bilby, (wife-Denise), Tyler, TX; and Jerry Bilby, (wife-Lisa), Muncie, IN; two daughters, Bonita Chambers, (husband-Hod), Yorktown, IN; Becky Shook, (husband-Joe), Selma, IN; seventeen grandchildren; thirty-eight great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Fred Prow; sister, Priscilla Phillips; and a grandson, Chad Marlow.

            Services will be held at Oakville First Brethren Church at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with Pastor Gary Phillips officiating.

            Calling will be at Oakville First Brethren Church on Tuesday, November 24, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

            Burial will follow in Black Cemetery.
