Nancy Evelyn Mansker, 87, passed away Sunday, November 22, 2015, at Morrison Woods Health Campus. She was born, July 19, 1928, in Muncie, the daughter of Melvin and Halia “Heflin” Wallace, and attended Muncie schools.
Mrs. Mansker was a homemaker.
She was a member of AARP, a volunteer for the Little Red Door, a member of Westinghouse Sympathy Club, Ross Center Senior Citizens, Muncie Delaware County Senior Citizens, Ross Center Line Dancers, Ross Center Volleyball Team, and Forest Park Senior Center. She attended Forest Park Church of the Nazarene, loved to roller skate and walk, and was a member of the executive Senior Club at Morrison Woods.
Surviving are two sons, Sam Mansker, Yorktown, and Steve Mansker, (wife, Jennifer), Pendleton; her daughter, Sally Tighe, (husband, Tom), Rutherfordton, North Carolina; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two nieces; and many special friends including, Dora Mae Felton, and Mary Jane McCreery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Mansker, to whom she was married forty-eight years, who died in 1994; and four sisters, Mary Burke, Lovell Cox, Dolly Comer and Catherine Jones.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at Parson Mortuary with Pastor David Delk officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and an hour prior to the services on Wednesday at the mortuary.
