Odie B. (Secuskie) Fierce

                Muncie- Odie B. (Secuskie) Fierce, 97, passed away early Friday morning, September the 8, 2017, at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.  She was born on December 18, 1919, in Louisville, Kentucky the daughter of Odie and Bera (Foster) Secuskie. 

                Ms. Fierce had worked for Marhoeffer Meats for 30 years as Laborer prior to their closing and then had worked for Rahes Meats for 5 years prior to her retirement in 1982.  She was known to be an excellent cook, specializing in chicken, hamburgers, spaghetti, and yeast rolls.  Sunday dinners had been a main stay at her house for 55 years.  Ms Fierce love animals especially squirrels and humming birds. Everyone called her grandma, strangers and family alike.  Mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family.

                She is survived by one daughter, Etta Lichtenberger (deceased husband-Steven) Maysville, Kentucky; three sons, Hank Fierce (wife-Jan), Muncie, Mike Fierce (wife-Carol), Elbert, Alabama and David Fierce (wife-Becky), Daytona Beach, Florida; sixteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

                She is preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Gloria McVicker in 1966; one granddaughter, Vicki McVicker in 1976; ten siblings.

                Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 15, 2017, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary Joe Hart will officiate. Burial will follow at the Tomlinson Cemetery.

                Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, September 15, 2017, from 11:00 A.M. until service time.
