Peggy Sue (Phipps) Markley

            Muncie-Peggy Sue Markley, 73, went to be with The Lord early Thursday morning, February 4, 2016   surrounded by her family.                         

 She shared many happy memories camping, hosting parties and cookouts.  She loved cooking and baking.  She was also a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.                                                                                                                                    

She is survived by her best friend and loving husband, David K. (Dave) Markley.  Two children David D. Markley (wife-Lisa) and Theresa D. Markley, both of Albany, Indiana.  Four grandchildren, Shelly J. Foster (husband Brian) of Muncie, Matthew D. Markley (wife Terri) of Albany, Amanda M. Rhonemus (husband Keith) of Royerton, and Olivia S. Markley (fiancé Kyle) of Albany.  She had several great grandchildren.  She is also survived by two sisters, Joyce Hansard of Alexandria, and Nancy Stanley (husband Larry) of Farmland.  She is also survived by many dear in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.                                                  Peggy is preceded in death by her parents, Homer F. & Dorothy M. Phipps and brother Lyle (Red) Phipps.     She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lyle Phipps.

            Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2016, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Ally Craycraft officiating.  Burial will follow at the Elm Ridge Memorial park Cemetery.

            Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Saturday, February 6, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. until service time.

            Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
