Phyllis Elaine (Dotson) Reagon

     Muncie – Phyllis (Dotson) Reagon, 77, Muncie, passed away Sunday morning, July 10, 2016 in Homosassa, Florida.

     She was born November 13, 1938 in Muncie, Indiana the daughter of the late Rufus A. and Lela (Norris) Dotson.  Phyllis lived in Muncie her entire life and attended Muncie Central High School. 

     She held her position as City Clerk of Muncie for 12 years before retiring on Dec. 31, 2015.  Phyllis was a long time member of the Delaware County Women’s Democrat Club, she was the vice precinct committeeman for 30 years and had been active in every election since 1975, she attended Foursquare Gospel Church, Muncie.  Phyllis loved listening to Elvis Presley; she enjoyed reading and just recently found comfort and joy going for pontoon rides with her son Phillip and his family.  Phyllis was known for her laugh and her smile and how she loved her grandchildren and all of their friends that even called her grandma.  By being known for her laugh and her smile and the love she had for her family it is very fitting that one of her last memories she shared with her son Phillip was pointing out a sign while out to dinner that read “Live, Love, Laugh or Get Out”. 

     Survivors include her two sons, Philip Reagon (wife-Cindy), Selma; Rick Reagon (wife-Melinda), Beckley, WV; three sisters, Ruth Jackson, Nashville, TN; Kay Manus (husband-Jack), Buncombe, IL; Sue Deming (husband-Dave), Muncie; one brother, Kenneth Dotson (wife-Paulette), Homosassa, FL; six grandchildren, Dustin Reagon (Jessica); Lacey Reagon; Dina Reagon-Crum (husband-Jerry); Jennifer Dolinger (husband-George); Jesse Reagon; and Jacob Grogan (Amanda); nine great-grandchildren, Kameron, Noah, Hunter, Mason, Cameron, Blake, Analisa, Lyndsey, and Ariana; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bobbie Reagon; brother, Franklin Dotson; and a sister, Jean Brown.

     Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 with Frank Dotson Jr. and Allie Craycraft officiating.  Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery.

     Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, July 18, 2016 and one hour prior to services on Tuesday.
