Reba June Wood

     Lithia, FL - Reba June Wood 86, known as “RJ” by family and friends was welcomed into the Kingdom of God July 17, 2017 in Lithia, Florida. She was born December 30, 1930 in Muncie, Indiana, the daughter of the late Lee and Lydia (Smith) Wilson.  RJ lived in Muncie most of her life.  She moved to Florida in 2007 where her husband Charles N. Wood once lived, he preceded her in death in 1984.

     She worked in the restaurant business, in Muncie for many years as a waitress and cook. One of the many places was “Davis Restaurant” on High Street.  She loved meeting people, serving others and always gave her best no matter what she did. She taught her eight children to love, forgive one another and always be thankful.

     She is survived by her 8 children, Julie Siefert (John), Nolan Wood (Gayle), Marty Wood (Sandy), Joni Stoner, Christopher Wood, Jama Dunsemore, Tony Wood (Becky), and Jason Wood ( Michelle); 25 grandchildren, Shawn, Jayleen, Phillip, Melissa, Ashely, Jessie, Cody, Jenny, Jada, Joey, Jarron, Nichole, Stephanie, Christopher, Caleb, Damien, Greggy, Jamie, Lacy, Travis, Kayleigh, Juan, Jacob, Holly, and Jason; 43 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

     She was preceded in death by her husband and 3 great-grandchildren.

     Funeral service will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, July 25, 2017.  Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery.

     Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
