Alexandria- Rick Brown, 64, ended his journey here on earth at the Alexandria Care Center and stepped into heaven on April 7, 2017 following a long battle with Parkinson’s. HE WON! He was born in New Castle on September 9, 1952. He graduated from New Castle High School in 1970.
Rick was an avid sports fan; he enjoyed traveling, golf, skiing, tennis and bowling. Recently he started at Rock Steady Boxing; a boxing class for people with Parkinson’s. Rick was employed by Full Gospel Temple where he worked as a maintenance man and carpenter for 28 years, he was a lifelong member of the Temple.
Left to mourn the loss of Rick are his wife Pat (Mitchell) Brown and his beloved yorkies, George and Gracie, his Aunt Eva Helm of New Castle and Uncle Alfred Helm.
Rick was preceded in death by his parents Lora and Roy Brown and an infant brother Larry.
Funeral services will be at the Full Gospel Temple on Thursday April 13, 2017 at 5:00 P.M with Pastor Denny Helton officiating. Friends may call from 4:00 P.M until the service time on Thursday.
