MUNCIE – Robert Darnell 53, Muncie, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016.
He was born May 14, 1963 in Hartford City, Indiana before going to live with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cleatus Darnell in Melbourne, Arkansas.
After high school Rob worked for Thor Simmons Fiberglass, he returned to Muncie in 1984 and worked for Mr. Super Rent and for the City of Muncie Trustees where he was often seen mowing yards all over town. After a hard day of work Rob loved to spend time with his friends in his garage talking about cars and motorcycles while having a few beers. Rob also enjoyed the outdoors, he loved hunting, fishing, and building a fire, in fact his CB handle was “Deer Skinner”.
Rob is survived by his uncle, Gene Darnell; sister, Bolinda Melton; brother, Larry Helm; six nieces, and six nephews.
The family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Rob’s life at Mansfield Park, Muncie at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016. Friends and family are all welcome to attend.
