MUNCIE – Russell Lee Smith, 62, Muncie, passed away Thursday, February 4, 2016 at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center, Indianapolis after a brief battle with cancer.
He was born February 13, 1953 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of the late Harold and Mary (Snodgrass) Smith. Russell proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was employed by Admiral working as a clerk before his retirement.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Smith; two daughters, Tabatha Fuller; and Amanda Smith; one son, Bill Gray; three grandchildren, Andrew, Mason, and Mikayla; one brother, Randy Smith, (wife-Julie); and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Bobby Williams.
Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 10, 2016 with Pastor Clay Morgan officiating.
Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday until time of service.
Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery, Muncie.
