MUNCIE – Schuyler L. Pierce, 28, Muncie, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, June 26, 2017.
He was born December 23, 1988 in Muncie, Indiana, the son of Guy L. and Cynthia E. (Fields) Pierce. He attended Muncie Southside High School and the Muncie Area Career Center.
Schuyler attended Destiny Christian Center and grew up playing basketball, baseball, football and karate. He enjoyed taking road trips and loved to spend time with his family and friends, especially his son Braxtyn.
Survivors include his son, Braxtyn Pierce, Muncie; father, Guy L. Pierce, Muncie; mother, Cynthia E. “Cyndi” Pierce, Muncie; one brother, Adriel Pierce, Muncie; mother of his son, Jamie Hoover, Muncie; grandmother, Ruth Pierce, Muncie; aunts and uncles, Sharon Pierce, Mt. Juliet, TN; Christine Pierce, Albany, IN; William Pierce, Muncie; Evonda Pierce, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; Sandra Poore, Muncie; Stephen Fields, Mishawaka, IN; Michael Fields, Selma, IN; and Julia Fields, Naperville, IL; lifelong friends/brothers, Devon Davis; Cornell Strong II; and Haile Long, all of Muncie; several cousins and many close friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clyde Pierce Sr.; James E. Fields; and Helen K. Fields; three uncles, Clyde Pierce Jr.; Walter Pierce; and David Pierce.
Services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017 with Bishop Keith O’Neal officiating.
Calling will be at Parson Mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Monday until time of service. Burial will follow in Elm Ridge Cemetery, Muncie.
