Muncie, IN. - Stanley E. Schull, 93, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on September 19, 2016 at Elmcroft Heartland Village.
Stanley was born in Beech Grove, Indiana on October 27, 1922 to the late Noel and Carrie (Moyer) Schull.
Stan grew up in Muncie and graduated from Burris in 1940. He served in the United States Army Air Corp during WWII and after spent many years in the reserves. Stanley worked at Ballard and Ace Hardware before working for the library driving the bookmobile. He retired in 1987 after 26 years of service know as “Stan, The Bookmobile Man”. He was a member of High Street United Methodist Church for 67 years and the Central Indiana Old Car Club.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife of 57 years, Leona Schull.
Stan is survived by his son, Terence W. Schull and his wife, Myra of Muncie, IN; grandson, Michael W. Schull and his wife, Carly of Indianapolis, IN; brother, Byron Schull of Richmond, IN and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be Friday, September 23, 2016 from 12:30 P.M. until 1:30 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary.
Services will be Friday, September 23, 2016 at 1:30 P.M. at the mortuary with Pastor Charlotte Overmyer officiating. Burial will be at Elm Ridge Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana. Delaware County Honor Guard will conduct military services.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or to High Street United Methodist Church.
