Muncie, IN. - Stephen Shawn Lutz, 41, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on August 19, 2016 at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital after a brief battle with cancer.
Shawn was born on May 21, 1975 in Muncie, Indiana to Stephen P. Lutz and Sharon K. (Stephens) Reum.
He attended Muncie Central High School. He had been living in Tulsa, OK. for the past five years. Shawn loved playing basketball and most of all going out fishing.
He is preceded in death by his mother, grandparents, Bob and Lois Stephens; brother, Chad Lutz; niece, Chelsey Gibson.
Shawn is survived by his father, Stephen P. Lutz and his wife, Susan of Eaton, IN; step-father, Ted Green and his companion, Debra King of Muncie, IN; sister, Kim Gibson and her husband, Bryan of Muncie, IN; brother, Nicholas Lutz of Muncie, IN; grandparents, Jack Lutz and his wife, Emma of Syracuse, IN; Joan Conn of Muncie, IN; nephews, Jordan Gibson, Kyle Gibson, Bryan R. Gibson; niece, Savanna Lutz.
Visitation will be Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary in Muncie, Indiana.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at 1 P.M. at the mortuary.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
