Muncie – Susan Coulson went home to be with her Lord on October 12, 2015 at her home.
She leaves her three daughters, Sherry Williams (James); Rita Liming; Kati Buck (Steve); born to her and Kenneth Justice deceased in 1965; three step-daughters, Darlene Osborne (Mike); Linda Orewiler (Mark); Julie Fields (Sam); daughters of Robert Maddux, 2nd husband deceased in 1982.
Preceding her in death was Earl Coulson (3rd husband), deceased in 2000; step-son Kevin Maddux deceased in 1980; parents, Paul and Dora Mae Gilmer; two great-grandsons, Ean O’Dell, 2005 and Andrew Limimg, 2013.
She leaves nine grandchildren; ten step-grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; seven step-great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Next to her family, her greatest joy in life was singing. She traveled several years with “The Gospel Messengers” going to South America, Haiti, Canada, and across the United States doing missionary work. She was with “The Praise Singers” for 33 years and also line danced with the “Ross City Line Dancers” for many years. She was a great animal lover and had as her faithful companion, Lucy, her dog.
She attended Gaston School and BMH Practical Nursing School. She worked 23 years an LPN at BMH. She was born and raised in Gaston.
She attended Northside Church of God where she sang in the choir and volunteered in several other areas.
A celebration of Life will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2015 with James Williams officiating.
Calling will be at the mortuary from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of service.
