Muncie, IN. - Virgil Edward Ringo, 86, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on August 22, 2016 at Signature Health Care.
Virgil was born on February 16, 1930 in Mooreland, Indiana to the late Gladys Marie (Cross) Evans.
He was a Salesman for Muncie Bread Company for 33 years. Virgil loved woodworking and playing golf. From their father, Virgil's children learned the value of honesty, hard work, and the joy of earning the things they wanted in life. Above all, they learned the importance of family and what it means to be a real parent to their children through thick and thin. He was a good man.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Joan Ringo; son, Steven Ringo; great-grandson, William; son-in-law, Guy Henderson.
Virgil is survived by his daughter, Vickie Michaels of Georgetown, TX; son, Larry Ringo and his wife, Janice of Muncie, IN; daughter-in-law, Barbara Ringo of Indianapolis, IN; five grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
