Muncie, IN. - Walter D. Creek “Peanut”, 84, of Muncie, Indiana passed away on January 18, 2017 at Golden Living Center in Muncie, Indiana.
Walter was born in Muncie, Indiana on February 24, 1932 to the late Charles Delmar and Delia Virginia (Smith) Creek.
He worked for Franks Foundry until he enlisted in the United States Navy and served proudly for four years. Walter worked for Warner Gear and retired after many years of service.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Terry Creek; son, Rick Creek; long time companion, Alverna Strouse; siblings, Roberta Kettle, Arthur “Sonny” Creek, Jerry Shockley, Mary Elizabeth Creek, Delmar “Pete Creek Jr.
Walter is survived by his daughter, Brenda Castrejon and her husband, Sigifrido; step-children, Mary Lay and her husband, Arnold; Debbie Watson and her husband, Elige; Mike Ulen; Aaron Strouse; grandchildren, Brandon, Kevin and his wife, Andrea; Darien, and Heather Castrejon; three step-grandchildren; 12 step-great-grandchildren; siblings, Barbara Evans and her husband, Harold; Carmen Swhier and her husband Larry; Doris Thomas and her companion, Charles; Marion (Junior) Shockley; Mike Shockley; Patrick Shockley; several wonderful nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 from 11 A.M. until 1 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary.
Services will be Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at 1 P.M. at the mortuary with Pastor Chris Hood officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Muncie, Indiana with Delaware County Honor Guard to conduct military honors.
