Muncie- William M. Blevins,72, entered into rest on Monday, December 4, 2017 at I. U. Health Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie, after a lengthy Illness. He was born January 31, 1945 in Paoli, Indiana, the son of Vera (Meham) and Donald Blevins.
William was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed watching Nascar as well as being a member of the Albany American Legion Post 16. He had previously been employed by Ross and Marsh Grocery stores as a meat counter manager and a butcher.
He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Nancy (Reed) Blevins; his mother, Vera (Meham) Blevins; One son, Michael S. Blevins (wife-Julie); One daughter, Melinda Martin (husband-Dale); four grandchildren, Nichole, Ashley, Trenton, and Zachary; one great-granddaughter, Aubrey; and special friends, Donnie and Judi Blakey. William was preceded in death by his father, Donald Blevins.
Funeral services will be held at Parson Mortuary at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, December 8, 2017 with Pastor Dennis Trimble officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery with military honors being conducted by the Delaware County Honor Guard and the United States Army.
