Wilma J. Weaver, 84

MUNCIE - Wilma J. Weaver, 84, passed away early Sunday morning, November 27, 2016 at the Indiana University Ball Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. 

She was born on November 16, 1932 in Muncie the daughter of Fred and Sarah (Penwell) Huggins.

Wilma married the love of her life, Ivan H. Weaver, Sr. on August 1, 1958 in Kokomo and he preceded her in death on January 12, 1992. Mrs. Weaver had been a homemaker. She had volunteered at the Better Way Shelter for four years. She had been a member of the Cammack United Methodist Church for over thirty years. She enjoyed spending time with her great granddaughter.

Survivors include her son, Terry A. Weaver (wife, Cherie Hope Weaver), Muncie; one daughter, Sheryl Ross, one granddaughter, Amanda K. Gregory (fiancé, Matt Stamper), Muncie; one great-granddaughter, Taylor Gregory, Muncie; one brother, Donald Huggins, Simpsonville, South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her husband of thirty-four years, Ivan, she is preceded in death by two step-daughters, Bonnie Gregory and Judy Bellomy; one step-son, Ivan Weaver, Jr.; her parents; three sisters, Norma June Gossett, Emma Hahn and Doris Kinsman; three brothers, Fred, Verrell and Alfred Huggins.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon, December 1, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastors Woody and Emily Sears officiating. Burial will follow at the Hawk Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. until service time.
