Muncie-Monte Albert Hurst, 57, passed away early Thursday morning, June 7, 2012, following a brief illness at his residence.  He was born on February 10, 1955 in Indianapolis, the son of Harold and Jackie (Wagner) Hurst.

          Mr. Hurst is a 1972 graduate of South Port High School.  He eventually would work in the loan origination and telemarketing field.  He has worked for Wells Fargo Financial Corp, Advanced Indiana Mortgage and most recently, Advance Commercial Roofing.  Monte enjoyed watching movies, swimming and to say he liked the Beatles was an understatement!

          He is survived by three sons, John, David and Mike Hurst all of Muncie; two daughters, Christian Michelle Hurst, Indianapolis and Heather Hurst, Anderson; one sister, Pamela Johnson (husband-Paul), Palm Beach, Florida; one nephew, Aaron Johnson, Palm Beach, Florida; former wife, Judy Hurst, Anderson.

          He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents.

          Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 15, 2012, 1:00 P.M. at the Parson Mortuary with Pastor Mary Dobson officiating.           Burial will follow at the Beech Grove Cemetery.

          Friends may call at the Parson Mortuary on Friday, June 15, 2012 from 12:00 P.M. until service time.
